A Girl, and a Fleabitten Gray

Welcome to the place where a blonde girl who is smitten with a horse is going to spill out her thoughts, cares, and dreams about said horse.

Pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee, and get ready for some long drawn out, sometimes senseless, sometimes overly emotional posts! Here I will plop down all of my thoughts at the end of the day, and let you all in on the progress we are making!

I'll give you a little introduction to Gunner. Sadly, he's not actually my gallant steed, but in a way he is! I will often refer to him as "mine", so bear with me! In my tiny blonde brain he's mine... ;) So, Gunner is currently stationed (haha, such professional sounding words!) at Blessings Farm, where I volunteer. He is on trial from another farm for the summer. Basically... He has some issues. He is a nine year old gelding, with a big mind of his own! He definitely knows what he wants, and he tries desperately to get it! He's definitely the most opinionated horse I have ever known, but that's okay, because I'm pretty opinionated too! Gunner arrived at the farm on June 13, 2015, which means he has only been with us for about three weeks! See, the main thing we were told was that Mr. Gunner has a little bit of a rearing problem when he doesn't get his own way... I soon found out that's not the only thing! He also likes to take off in a frenzy of cantering, bucking, and galloping when he doesn't get his own way too! Goes to show guys are super opinionated, and bossy. ;) Oh, and did I mention his is a Lustiano Arabian? YEP. Two types of crazy in one package! His Arabian side definitely likes to rear it's head more often than not!

So, as to keep this post from being so long it keeps you all up for seven days reading it... I shall leave that where it is, and then continue on in the future!

I'll finish off by telling you that it was love at first sight, and I want this horse to be in my life for years, and years to come! I have so many goals for the future, and our bond has already strengthened greatly in these three short weeks!

Thanks for stopping by!
